TERMS & CONDITIONS

Wine Tasting Events and WSET Courses

 

  • Registering your interest for a course does not provide you with a place in class. 

  • All wine tasting events and WSET courses must be paid for in advance - Bookings made with South Coast Wine Academy are not secured until payment is received.  Payments can be made online at www.southcoastwineacademy.com.au.

  • All fees must be paid in full before the program begins.

  • When you enroll online, your payment will be processed, and you will receive a confirmation of your enrolment.

  • Cancellations received more than 4 weeks prior to event date – you can choose to receive a full refund, send a substitute ($70 Admin Fee), transfer to another event, or receive a credit against any of our future events.

 

  • Cancellations received between 4 weeks to 2 weeks prior to event date – NO refund will be provided.  You can choose to send a substitute ($70 Admin Fee), transfer to another event, or receive a credit to apply to any future events.  Please note that requests for Reasonable Adjustments for substitutes cannot be made within this time period.

 

  • Cancellations received between 2 weeks prior and up to the day of the event – NO refund, credits or transfers will be provided.  Assigning a course/candidate substitute within this time period is also NOT permitted.

 

  • In the event of 'no-shows' - no refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided.

 

  • For courses lasting more than 1 day / evening, if you elect to miss a session (advised 1 week in advance) you may arrange to sit in the missed session on a subsequent course (does not apply for WSET examinations).

 

  • South Coast Wine Academy reserves the right to cancel a program if there are insufficient enrolments.

  • In extreme circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course or event and we will refund payment in full if no alternative event is acceptable.

 

  • South Coast Wine Academy reserves the right to change the venue of any course or event to one of equal or superior quality (and reasonably within the same geographical area).

 

  • We reserve the right to ask any person to leave any event if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable or disruptive to others.  Please refer to the South Coast Wine Academy Diversity and Equality Policy.

  • Exam Resits - you have the option to re-sit an exam. Please contact to discuss your options. It's not possible to book a re-sit unless you have received a "Fail". It's also not possible to re-sit an exam you have passed in order to obtain a higher grade. 
    Exam re-sit Fees:
    - Level 1 Award in Wines ($100)
    - Level 2 Award in Wines ($150)

  • Students studying a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) course are required to read through the specification and WSET Policy documents on the course pages under 'more info' prior to enrolling.

 

  • We do not serve alcohol to guests under the age of 18.

 

  • As instructed in all tastings and events; alcohol is to be sampled and spat out into the supplied spittoons – it is not to be consumed / swallowed.

  • Public Holiday – No classes are conducted on public holidays.
